Neither porcelain nor plastic,
Neither precious nor phony,
This is the testimony,
Ghost written to any and all,
Who not only fail but fall,
Into patriarchal pitfalls
Of treating women like dolls.
Flesh + Bone: See – Cut me.
And I will bleed.
Not a trophy –
Not bronze or silver.
Nothing to be won,
Not a ‘thing’ at all. But –
An equal to be heard.
When will we learn
To stop gauging each other
In terms of our selves?
In terms of our greed?
