For those of you who have been keeping tabs on Red Strings in recent weeks, you may have noticed that the well has been… drier than usual. This can be attributed to numerous reasons: vacations, weddings, new jobs, crashing computers, more weddings; our writers have had a busy August and September.
In an effort to bring more consistent content to RSPC, we’re changing up the way we do Schizophrenic Summers, our “weekly” poetry theme that has not been weekly for quite some time.
New Monthly Format
Beginning tomorrow, we will be featuring monthly themes for Schizophrenic Summers. A new theme will be presented on the 1st of every month, and submissions will be taken until the final day of that month. That leaves our writers — and guest writers — more time to submit their poems!
It also means a writer could potentially write multiple entries for the month’s theme…
So bring us your poems. One poem or five, it doesn’t matter, we’d love to see your interpretations. Or even new ideas for themes. Check back tomorrow for October’s theme, and send submissions to redstringpapercuts@gmail.com.
P.S. — October’s theme is the final Virtue in our Seven Virtues series. See? You even get a head start.
