I blare the music
To ensnare my mind
To spare myself the memory
Of the mayhem you voiced tonight – Continue reading “Misplaced Missive #210 – Background Music”

Paving stone sidewalks
lead to an unknown town, but
still familiar.
Guess who’s in England! We arrived yesterday afternoon to attend my friend’s wedding tomorrow. This will be a reunion of several of my grad school friends, so it’s only fitting that the smaller town we’re staying in reminds me of Exeter.

Last night, Jessie and I had our first writing session since… she moved to Denver.
You see, we used to meet periodically with our laptops and notebooks at a little cafe in Columbia, MD to take notes, talk shop, and brainstorm about whatever writing projects we were working on at the time.

Set in between my black heart and your white lies,
Grey eyed wisdom is overshadowed by extremes,
But I need: Some guidance, some advice,

So you freeze. Continue reading “Moonlit Musing – Anxiety.”
Can I confess something to you guys?
I’m officially Concerned about publishing my book, and it is due to something that is out of my control.
Which I think makes this worse… Continue reading “Friday Publishing-Day: Rainy Days”
I’ve been back in Maryland for a total of 12 days. And while I can see the pros of being home, the cons have been weighing heavy. I haven’t been posting in the chaos and my mood has been… lower than where I like it. Part of it is the depression that always shadows a birthday for me, but the other part seems to be guilt and regret. I’m trying to shake off the melancholy, but I wanted to warn you lovely readers that for the foreseeable future, I may get a little dark. Continue reading “Album Share and Mood Update”
Liquid Temptation
Seen through the mirror
Disgust becomes clearer,
I only needed to see her
Stumble.
It humbles me to find,
The attraction of the vice,
Was purely in my mind.
A device I deployed,
Wholly to avoid,
The eating void
Of all that I lack.
The impact of seeing you
Stumbling under… Continue reading “Misplaced Missive #200 – Liquid Temptation”
