All of the angries!!! Let’s leap from whimsical galumphing to hard hitting villanelles; from random and abstract to deeply personal and intimate; from fun and light and imaginary to graphic and dark and all too real. Continue reading “November’s Theme – Grrrrrrr Argh”
“Now I know I haven’t really tried to hang out with you lately, but that totally doesn’t mean we can’t still be really close best of bestest friends. On my time table. You know, when it’s convenient and I’m not busy working or running errands. Oh? That doesn’t work for you? You only want to visit when I’m driving with no paper and pen available or meeting with my boss about upcoming events? It might be a bit premature to say this, but I think the soundtrack to the Seven Virtues is going to be a lot more lighthearted than that of its counterpart. ‘…Steal my pride, Leave me blind, Steal my pride, And leave me blind, blind, blind now…” Boogie Woogie Woogie to sounds of the fall and please ignore the woeful screeching of my attempts at singing. Thank The Powers That Be that you can’t actually hear me, huh? This past week we stared into the abyss and saw what happened to a vivacious woman who lost herself in an ideal of ‘beauty’, how pride made us all liars, and how being a overconfident King lead to anguish and violence. Somehow I think as long as there’re people these things will continue to occur. In the immortal hamster wheel of Pinky and The Brain, “What do you want to do tonight?”
