Early yellow light
brightens over the ripples,
throwing fleeting calm.

After days of gloom,
the first rays of yellow light
make the room glow.

A place without light,
yet her outline appears on
a clear night, waiting.
Tonight is the new moon, by the way 🙂

Little candlelights
dance across the sea’s surface,
the sun’s light captured.
Steve D
Burning eye through the leaves,
one last heated breath reaching
to stave off the night.

Transcendent passion,
momentary glowing glance,
binding us in light.

guided by silver light, the
hunter thanks the moon.
Last night was the Hunter’s Moon, the second full moon of autumn, big and silvery-white in a chilly midnight sky.

Peripheral blurs,
Light fades as vision caves in,
Trapped in the blackness.

Golden light dapples
through leaves green and brown, like a
patchwork canopy.
