June Write-Day: Summer is Looking Up!

May turned out to be an interesting month, although the first half is a blur to me. Honestly, most of the good parts happened in the last two weeks.

We had a nice weekend at the family lakehouse, where our son was baptized by his great-uncle the pastor. The baptism itself was a nice at-home affair, and was more about the family gathering than anything else. Dad Life: Finding You

As I’ve said a few times before here, being a stay-at-home dad, even for the short-term, has been an amazing experience. I’m spending three weeks at home with my son, just as he’s beginning to really experience the world around him.

As you’ve probably read at some point on this space, the last two-plus months have been pretty hectic for me. All of my spare time has been consumed by buying and moving into a new house while also trying to finish the second draft of my novel.
