“Yard”

Not merely a yard,

a secluded wilderness

of unbounded dreams.

The house I grew up in, where my pup Teddy loved to run around in the backyard, has been sold. I took him there on Friday to have one final romp through his favorite squirrel-hunting grounds.

Haiku Sunday – Squirrel

On December 13, 2015October 31, 2016 By Steven D'AdamoIn Poetry, Writers - Steve D'AdamoLeave a comment

“Squirrel”

Child me used to name
The squirrels who romped near my house
And envy their play.
