Bacon Hoarding
A culture in decline
A hunger made divine
A product of swine
Exalted like fine wine
Driven onward by scent,
Is the hedonistic vagrant,
Someone utterly reliant –
On This: Their Next Physical Fix.
The perfect mix
Of acceptable and addiction.
Gluttonous and obese,
Devouring every piece,
Of every part that’s edible.
It seems to be incredible,
That more haven’t recovered
From our unhealthy love for:
When it’s obvious
That it’s better to have:
Less, Less, Less
Gorge on the easily available
To fill a void too terrible
To examine any closer.
A culture in decline
A hunger made divine
A product of swine
Exalted like fine wine
Who are the Pigs?
The beasts upon which we feast,
Or Us,
The animals consumed by our own hunger?
