Free on Kindle – The Warden of Everfeld: Memento

Well, I mentioned in last week’s post that I wanted to make a final push on selling/giving away copies of my novel, The Warden of Everfeld: Memento

My fantasy novel is now available for free on Kindle until midnight on December 20 PT. This is 200,000+ words of engaging characters, adventure, world building, and that touch of magical realism that I think we all could use to close out 2020.

Want to read a full synopsis or some character bios for Aston and Jaed? Check out my summary page for The Warden of Everfeld: Memento here.

Here’s the link to the Amazon page: https://www.amazon.com/Warden-Everfeld-Memento-Steven-DAdamo-ebook/dp/B07FGG23K7/

Tell your friends, tell your family, “buy” my book as a gift, or just because we all need to pad our TBR lists.

Behind the Scenes

I decided to enroll my novel in KDP Select, which means I can run a 5-day giveaway. (I will definitely be sharing the results of this giveaway after the fact.) This is my first time running a giveaway promotion like this, so I’m really excited and maybe a little bit nervous.

My goal from earlier in the year for total book sales/giveaways for 2020 was 30. I have sold just 1 copy so far, so I basically need this giveaway to carry my goal for the entire year 😀 No pressure.

Side note: today we hit 700 followers on this blog. Completely unrelated to my giveaway, but still awesome. Thanks guys.

2019 Book Marketing Goals Wrap-Up

2020 somehow feels like it’s already gone by so fast, until I stop and realize it’s only the second week.

Anyway, now that I’ve reviewed the numbers for this site in 2019, it’s time to go back to my book marketing goals for a final check-up. Continue reading “2019 Book Marketing Goals Wrap-Up”

Here is the full synopsis:

The Second Redskael War left many communities in Everfeld in mourning, and now they have united in mutual protection. Aston dreams of fighting for his home as his father did, but Jaed only wants to find the home she never had.

When a long-buried secret is revealed, Jaed and Aston must flee those who would stamp out any threat to the fledgling Felding Alliance. Now they must each make a choice: run away and condemn the society they were raised in, or fight back to protect those they love.

The Warden of Everfeld: Memento follows their adventure as they struggle to reconcile their pasts and discover the true meanings of identity, honor, loyalty, and love. Their choices will change their lives and Everfeld forever.

Aaaand some additional information for good measure…

A Quarterly Sales Report, and Other Things I never Thought I’d Write

At some point during the pre-publishing process for my first novel, I said that I wanted to be relatively transparent about how well my books did.

Well, it’s been over three months since I published The Warden of Everfeld: Memento. I’ve already talked about how my PPC campaigns performed. Now, it’s time to have a quick look at how they and my other marketing efforts helped me actually sell books.

7 Things I’ve Learned from Self-Publishing My First Novel

The pre-order period for The Warden of Everfeld: Memento officially ended last Wednesday, which means it’s time for a little retrospective on how this 30-day marketing binge went for me.

Here are 7 things I’ve learned from self-publishing my first novel, so far. Continue reading “7 Things I’ve Learned from Self-Publishing My First Novel”

Friday Published-Day: The Work Continues

This has been a pretty big week, if only symbolically.

I officially made The Warden of Everfeld: Memento available for pre-order on Kindle before both the Kindle and print versions are published on July 18.

That’s a pretty big deal for me, anyway.

Other than that, I’ve done a lot of mental gear-turning over what comes next, both before WoEM is released to the world and after it’s out.

The 9-Step Publication Plan

My how things can change in a few days. Monday was a strange day. Due to circumstances at work, I ended up over-thinking a lot of things, some work-related, some book-related, and getting a little stressed.

Despite my wave of confidence last Friday, I’m pretty nervous about the entire publishing process.

I feel good about my book and my abilities to make it enjoyable for people aside from my friends, but publishing  the thing is an entirely different story. Continue reading “The 9-Step Publication Plan”
