Anyone Need a Freelance Writer / Editor / Content Marketer?
Well, I wasn’t planning on talking about this until after the dust settled, but I’ve had a change of heart.
I was laid off from my job last week. I am actively looking for a new position, but in the meantime, I need to keep my options open.
That’s why I’m officially offering freelance services in writing, editing, or online marketing. Here’s a little bit about my background:
- I reviewed news releases for publication on PRWeb.com, PRNewswire.com, and MarketWired.com for three years. I reviewed approximately 10,000 press releases in that time, and I know what a good press release looks like.
- I have also written two dozen press releases for various organizations across industries such as tech, fashion, and publishing. And yes, I even wrote my own press releases for my book.
- I strategized and managed pay-per-click marketing campaigns and provided regular analytics reports for clients, curating nearly 1 million clicks across dozens of campaigns.
- I’m also open to other work in the realms of writing, editing, and online marketing.

A Ravens Fan’s Farewell to Flacco
According to unofficial reports, the Ravens will trade Joe Flacco to the Broncos, likely for a 4th-round draft pick. The details cannot actually be confirmed until the league year begins in a month.

#Review: Netflix’s ‘OUTLAW KING’ Falls Flat
While I was on paternity leave, I had a lot of time to binge-watch Netflix, so I was excited to get to some of the films that had been piling up in my list.
Outlaw King, Netflix’s historical fiction about Robert the Bruce’s rebellion against the English crown, was a natural pick for me.
- I like Chris Pine
- I love Scotland
- And I’m interested in Scottish history. I nearly wrote my very first history paper on William Wallace when I was 14, mainly because I had watched Braveheart a thousand times and read about some of the historical battles depicted there.

February Write-Day: Now We’re Doing This Monthly
In my last Friday Write-Day post two weeks ago, I mentioned how I might change up the format of this once-weekly post to both challenge myself and provide some more unique content on RSPC.
I thought about a bi-weekly update for about a minute, until I realized that nothing outside of paychecks are scheduled fortnightly, and scheduling my blog in that manner would be ridiculous.

#Review: Netflix’s ‘BODYGUARD’ a Suspenseful, Fast-Paced Ride
I unwittingly finished watching season one of Bodyguard today. The Netflix show starring Game of Thrones’s Richard Madden ran for only six episodes, when I really thought it could have carried eight or ten.
