Admittance of Having Done Nothing Wrong
I’m concerned if secrecy is breached,
If silence is broken,
Then history will simply repeat
Leading to my heart’s defeat
Under your feet.
Trampled again in a well rehearsed dance.
Confessions of collections of affections,
In the new season, against all reason,
Committing treason against self interest.
Humble admittance of having done nothing wrong,
But plagued with guilt all along just the same.
If half of me is hidden in shades of grey,
And shadows cast by lies of exclusion,
Is what is left in the light,
Capable of keeping up the fight
To not fall back into old failures?
