Friday Write-Day: Movement

Happy Friday. Have a YouTube:

You’re welcome. It’s been quite some time since I’ve heard new Hozier music, but maybe it’s time for a sequel to my review of his first album. That was way back in December 2014… nearly four years ago!

Aaahh, memories. Onto the writing!

A Quarterly Sales Report, and Other Things I never Thought I’d Write

At some point during the pre-publishing process for my first novel, I said that I wanted to be relatively transparent about how well my books did.

Well, it’s been over three months since I published The Warden of Everfeld: Memento. I’ve already talked about how my PPC campaigns performed. Now, it’s time to have a quick look at how they and my other marketing efforts helped me actually sell books.

Friday Write-Day: NaNo is Hard

I really can’t fathom at this point how I won NaNoWriMo in 2016. What demonic powers took hold of me then?!

I’ve enjoyed trying to keep up with NaNo this year, but man, my writing progress standards have changed.

Why I Love Myths… and Decided to Write Them

I’ve been talking more and more about the mythology series I have been writing for my fantasy universe. I’m pretty excited about these stories, so I think it’s time I shared why this kind of story is important to me.

I could make this a listicle, but I don’t want to. Follow me on this journey!

Friday Write-Day: Oh, Right, NaNo Time!

November has arrived, and it somehow still feels like autumn has barely begun. But, as has been tradition around here for… 4 years, November means it’s time for National Novel Writing Month!

I’ve been relatively busy with being a dad and all, so it should come as a surprise to no one that I haven’t prepared in the slightest.

Friday Write-Day: Revisions Are Coming

This was another one of those weeks where it felt pretty busy/hectic, but I don’t really remember specifically what happened.

[Thinking…]

We had a lot of visitors and things going on around the house. That’s why it felt busy. I didn’t have much time for writing due to this, but progress is not always measured in word count

Baltimore Comic-Con Reconaissance

I went to my first convention on Sunday! I knew that fellow author and blogger MLS Weech was going to be there, so I wanted to take the opportunity to stop by his table.

But I also wanted to start preparing for my next big move in book publishing: selling my book at conventions.

Friday Write-Day: Switching Gears

This week has not been as much of a sleep-deprived blur as last week. It’s still flown by surprisingly fast. My writing time was slim, but I managed to make some headway in a couple of other areas.

Friday Write-Day: Writing on Leave

This week has been… tiring / refreshing / fun / kind of a blur.

Between caring for a newborn, having a lot of visitors nearly every day, and just trying to adjust to our new home life, it’s been good.
