The high school creative writing class I visited a couple weeks ago wrote a thank you card for me!
Much like September, October flew by. However, I am feeling much better mentally than I did the previous month.

I got a very interesting email today from my editor. Most of our email exchanges have to do with my writing, as you might expect, but we’re old friends from high school, so sometimes we email just to catch up and ask each other why we haven’t hung out in months.
This morning, she emailed me to say she would be teaching a creative writing class this year — she teaches high school English — and she wanted to know if I would come in to talk to her kids.
Welp, November is over. National Novel Writing Month sped by me, but that’s been true of every month since my son was born.
I had a lofty goal of writing 20,000 words on Dad-Life Time, but NaNoWriMo goals are always lofty, right?

I’ve enjoyed trying to keep up with NaNo this year, but man, my writing progress standards have changed.
November has arrived, and it somehow still feels like autumn has barely begun. But, as has been tradition around here for… 4 years, November means it’s time for National Novel Writing Month!
I’ve been relatively busy with being a dad and all, so it should come as a surprise to no one that I haven’t prepared in the slightest.
As I talked about last week, it’s back to the grindstone for me in the wake of WoEM’s pre-order release.
