As I talked about last week, it’s back to the grindstone for me in the wake of WoEM’s pre-order release.
I’d like to make some headway on my second novel, The Warden of Everfeld: Legacy, and I just happen to have the perfect opportunity to do so: Camp NaNoWriMo 2018! Continue reading “Friday Write-Day: Camp NaNoWriMo Returns!”
It’s hard for even me to believe, but I have somehow neglected to explore Everfeld with you all, the setting of The Warden of Everfeld: Memento.
However, I think that was for the best, because I have a very special surprise to help you all step into this world. Continue reading “Exploring Úr’Dan: Everfeld (with a bonus!)”
This has been a pretty big week, if only symbolically.
I officially made The Warden of Everfeld: Memento available for pre-order on Kindle before both the Kindle and print versions are published on July 18.
That’s a pretty big deal for me, anyway.
Other than that, I’ve done a lot of mental gear-turning over what comes next, both before WoEM is released to the world and after it’s out.
Holy crap I can barely contain myself…
I am ecstatic to announce that my first novel,
Details will follow below, but first, have a look at the gorgeous front-and-back cover for my book, illustrated by the gifted Sergey Velisser!
I still cannot believe the level of detail and vibrancy that Sergey achieved in his artwork. Okay, I’ll stop gushing. Onto the details!
Starting today, The Warden of Everfeld: Memento is available to pre-order on Amazon.com.
Until July 17, the Kindle ebook will be available at a discounted rate for $2.99!
If you wait until publication to purchase, you will see a slightly higher price for the Kindle version, so go secure your copy now!

Finally, I must give a quick shout-out to the people who helped make this possible for me:
Stay tuned for further updates over the next month and beyond!

This has been a weird week in publishing world. From finicky software to minor non-errors, I’ve suddenly hit a number of hang-ups that probably aren’t a big deal.
It’s just been annoying. I know I’ll be able to iron out the kinks. Luckily, I’ve made progress in other areas this week. Continue reading “Friday Publishing-Day: So Close Yet So Far”

In case you haven’t heard, celebrity chef, TV host, and storyteller Anthony Bourdain committed suicide this morning.
I always admired Bourdain’s art for storytelling, but more than that, his humanism. His most recent show, Parts Unknown, not only took audiences on incredible food and culture adventures to every corner of the world, it also showed us how culture can bring people together, even in times of hardship, war, poverty, and oppression.
His stories have always inspired me and made me yearn to discover more about this world and its people, about our shared heritage. I hope we can continue that dialogue in his memory.
A brief update on my week follows if you’re interested. Continue reading “A Moment of Reflection for Anthony Bourdain”
Guess who’s back in the US?!?!
In case you haven’t seen the haiku I’ve been posting this week (with some very obvious riddles), the wife and I were in England for a wedding and some good ole R+R in London.
I managed to get some sweet pics of what I assume is Greenland on our flight from Reykjavik to Baltimore. I’ve seen plenty of documentary footage of the arctic, but flying directly over it with such a clear view of the terrain felt like I’d been transported to another world. Continue reading “Friday Publishing-Day: Notes over Greenland”
Can I confess something to you guys?
I’m officially Concerned about publishing my book, and it is due to something that is out of my control.
Which I think makes this worse… Continue reading “Friday Publishing-Day: Rainy Days”
This has been a pretty good week. I had started to review my book designer’s sample manuscript over the weekend, but didn’t get too far. Continue reading “Friday Publishing-Day: The Deep Breath”
