It took me practically the entire month of July, but I feel like I’m starting to move forward in my WIP at a more regular pace.
I realized recently one of the issues I’ve been facing with drafting The Warden of Everfeld: Legacy. My brainstorms and outlines have been so wrapped up in the big-picture moments of each of my characters that I hadn’t really thought about how to get from one moment to the next.
Now, however, I feel like I’m on a roll. I’ve been switching back and forth between my first two sections as ideas hit me, but I should be able to finish both this weekend.
I think that would put me somewhere close to 10,000 words, but don’t quote me on that.
I’m still working on getting up to my average goal of 715 words written per day, but it’s definitely been better this week.
My manuscript stands at 6,000 words. Not staggering, but I feel like I’ve made a lot of progress recently, even if it’s mostly mental.
Book Sale Milestone!
Sales of my book surpassed 50 copies yesterday: Kindle, Amazon, and direct print combined. I’m quite pleased with this number for the first few weeks. Now I need to figure out how to continue the trend.
Goals for 8/10
- Write 715 words per day
- Finish chapters 1 and 2 of The Warden of Everfeld: Legacy
- Get to bed earlier
- Start reading regularly again
