Slightly Revised Marketing Plan… 2018!

Apologies for the late post today. A certain Jessie kept me on a video call for four hours last night.

With the revisions of The Warden of Everfeld: Memento coming along nicely, it’s time to talk about how I’ll be promoting this book.

My marketing efforts last year were focused on audience-building, and that’s largely still the goal. But now, with a tentative release date of early 2018, I need to be sure that the audience I build is actually interested in buying my book.

Saturday of Book Reviewing – Vonnegut’s Happy Birthday, Wanda June

This is a play! Which is both new and exciting coming from Kurt Vonnegut’s brilliant, beautiful library. It was, however, also very strange. It was funny, as all his work is, but since it was dialogue driven I almost couldn’t tell he had written it. There’s still his distinct humanist positivity going on, but without his elaborate descriptions and carefully chosen details, I will say it fell a little short for me. Creativity Sessions: Finding a Character’s Heart

Last Friday, I touched on the changes that were beginning to manifest in the third draft of The Warden of Everfeld: Memento.

Saturday Of Book Reviewing – Green’s Looking For Alaska

I imagine many have read this book before myself. Since it’s so well known, I rather think I’ll ‘review’ it by continuing a trend I started with BJ Novak’s novel: answering John Green’s discussion questions at the end! There are a few, so bear with me folks, along this journey of general thought over specific details.

Some Intentionally Vague and Broad Discussion Questions Continue reading “Saturday Of Book Reviewing – Green’s Looking For Alaska”

Friday Write-Day: Digging into the Third Draft

Man, I have loved creating my third draft so far. It’s like watching the final pieces of a puzzle fit into place. The further along I get, the more amped up I am to share The Warden of Everfeld: Memento with you all!
