Friday Write-Day: Movement

Happy Friday. Have a YouTube:

You’re welcome. It’s been quite some time since I’ve heard new Hozier music, but maybe it’s time for a sequel to my review of his first album. That was way back in December 2014… nearly four years ago!

Aaahh, memories. Onto the writing!

Friday Write-Day: NaNo is Hard

I really can’t fathom at this point how I won NaNoWriMo in 2016. What demonic powers took hold of me then?!

I’ve enjoyed trying to keep up with NaNo this year, but man, my writing progress standards have changed.

Friday Write-Day: Oh, Right, NaNo Time!

November has arrived, and it somehow still feels like autumn has barely begun. But, as has been tradition around here for… 4 years, November means it’s time for National Novel Writing Month!

I’ve been relatively busy with being a dad and all, so it should come as a surprise to no one that I haven’t prepared in the slightest.

Friday Write-Day: Taking Infants in Public?!

This week flew by. It’s one of those weeks where I feel like I did a lot, but I have to stop and think about it.

We brought Nugget to a craft festival outside Baltimore last Saturday. He was much beloved by many people who stopped to ask us about him. Apparently, it’s “brave” of us to take a 6-week-old in public. He mostly slept on my chest, wrapped in one of those backpack-style harnesses.

Friday Write-Day: Moral Victories?

Sometimes, the tangible goals don’t matter as much as the intangible. For instance, Nugget can lift his head up and hold it steady for a few seconds without teetering over like a top-heavy paper weight. That seems like a big accomplishment for a five-week-old!

As you might have guessed, I couldn’t write that much this week, but I did manage to make some moves in cool/interesting directions.

Friday Write-Day: The Week of No Writing

Yep, I don’t think I wrote much more than 150 words this week.

I’ve been doing a lot of pondering, and also getting my revised KDP manuscript for WoEM in order, so that’s kept me pre-occupied. But, I still feel like some cool things are coming.

Friday Write-Day: Switching Gears

This week has not been as much of a sleep-deprived blur as last week. It’s still flown by surprisingly fast. My writing time was slim, but I managed to make some headway in a couple of other areas.

Friday Write-Day: Sleep is for Sane People

I left work at 4:30 yesterday because I was just too tired to deal with anything. I almost couldn’t deal with the awful commute home, but I made it.

And I promptly took a two-hour nap. Dad Life is tiring.

Friday Write-Day: Writing on Leave

This week has been… tiring / refreshing / fun / kind of a blur.

Between caring for a newborn, having a lot of visitors nearly every day, and just trying to adjust to our new home life, it’s been good.
